The National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) accepts the service of Patriots for the period between April 19, 1775 (the Battle of Lexington) and November 26, 1783 (the withdrawal of British Troops from New York). Service can be in the military, as a signer of the Declaration of Independence, in Civil Service (state, county, or town), and patriotic service.
